VENICE

Venice is bordered by Santa Monica to the north; Palms-Mar Vista and Culver City to the east, Marina Del Rey to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the west.  It is an oceanfront neighborhood on the Westside of Los Angeles and has a diverse neighborhood that is in transition as gentrification mixes with the charming eccentricity and artistic spirit that have defined the neighborhood for decades.  Many of the houses in Venice have their principal entrances from pedestrian-only streets and have their addresses based on the footpaths, with alleys in the rear of the homes allowing for automobile access. Roughly 620 single-family homes are located on these inland walking streets.  Most people rent their homes in Venice, but if you are looking to own real estate here, talk to your Venice agent or realtor.  One thing that everyone does when they get to Venice is taking a stroll on the world-famous Venice Beach boardwalk.  You will find all kinds of shops, eateries, a basketball court, people showing off their juggling skills and other talents, along with a lot more things that you can find there.

Abbot Kinney is probably the most popular street in Venice. People love to go to this hip area to shop and eat and hang out. In fact, GQ Magazine named Abbot Kinney shopping district, "The coolest block in America".  A fun historical fact is that Venice was founded in 1905 by developer Abbot Kinney as a beachfront resort town.  With a system of canals and other things, Kinney’s vision was inspired by the architectural themes from Venice, Italy.  If you like a little more activity in your life, Venice is certainly the place to be.  There is always something going on here.  Venice is a popular destination for people from all around the world, and there’s the reason for this.  It’s a place where you’ll find friendly people who are ready to share their stories and hear about yours.  Make sure that you see a Venice agent or realtor for your needs.
