Los Angeles is a big city and it isn't prominently known for being a great walkable city, but there are a lot of wonderful walkable neighborhoods within the large city. A significant portion of my clients hails from various bustling cities like Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, Paris, and London. They seek an urban environment that offers the charm of a village or city, eliminating the need for driving and allowing them to conveniently walk to conduct their business. Walkability entails being able to reach a central location within 10 minutes on foot, where one can find grocery stores, shopping venues, educational institutions, theaters, and restaurants.

Downtown

Living downtown allows you to accomplish all of your daily tasks without needing the use of a car. If you prefer not to drive, downtown is the place to be because you are also able to easily access the transit system with its multiple stations and bus stops on every block.

For optimal walkability in Downtown, the prime location lies south of 6th Street, with Grand Street to the east, the 110 Freeway to the west, and the 10 Freeway to the south. This particular area has experienced significant development and is tailored to accommodate the thriving walking culture prevalent in Downtown. One of our highly recommended walkable destinations is the Arts District in DTLA, which benefits from its convenient proximity to the Gold Line and an abundance of restaurants, cafes, bars, and galleries.

Central Hollywood and West Hollywood

Central Hollywood is booming with tourists and the Hollywood hustle and bustle, so many don't prefer to have this area a part of their commute, however, it is a very easy place to get around and manage your daily tasks without the use of a car.

Koreatown

If you live in Koreatown you can do all the shopping you need and pamper yourself at a spa without ever getting into a vehicle. Everything is within walking distance and there is a lot of access to public transit.

Mid City / Pico-Union

Pico Avenue, stretching between Fairfax and La Brea, offers an exceptional walkable experience due to several key factors.
